Subject Information

Key Stage 3:

At Key Stage 3, ICT is delivered in Years 8 and 10. The work is focused on thematic based units, such as Positive Life Choices, Global Awareness and a STEM based project. Pupils develop skills in areas such as web design, spreadsheets, multimedia, database, word processing, email and collaborative tools. This supports the cross-curricular assessment of ICT in other learning areas. For each of these courses there is a strong emphasis on skill acquisition demonstrated through coursework or controlled assessment. The technologies used include spreadsheets, database, multimedia, web design, moving image and games development.
