Civic Reception
On Thursday 09 May pupils, staff and governors of St Columbanus’ College were honoured with a Civic Reception hosted by the Mayor of North Down, Mr Tony Hill.
The reception marked the beginning of a year of celebrations to mark the Golden Jubilee of the school.
Year 9 Boys Enjoy Hurling Fun Day
On May 13th 2010, Down GAA Hurling Coaches Michael McCullough, Kyla Trainer and Karl Keating visited the College.
Year 9 Boys were introduced to the fastest field sport in the world and were coached in various skills.
It was a most enjoyable day and it is hoped to develop hurling throughout the college.
Athletics Round Up
The Senior and Intermediate Down schools athletics competition took place yesterday 6TH May.
Steven Conlan competed in the long jump and the 100m. Steven came third in the long jump and is through to the Ulster finals. This is a great achievement because Steven was competing against yr 13 and 14 [...]
Soccer Fun Day
As part of the St Columbanus’ College 50th Anniversary Celebrations there will be a Past Pupil’s Six-a-side Soccer Fun Day on Saturday 12th June 2010.
